１９７５年４月読売新聞社が発刊した“Made in U.S.A catalog”は僕にとってかなりの衝撃だった。このカタログの中にはアメリカのアイテムがギッシリ詰まっている。そして先のアンアンに続いて大きくLEVI'S 501が取り上げられた。しかもそのシルエットが大きく表紙を飾っている。今のように情報源がほとんどない時代、２７４ページに渡りアメリカを紹介したこの雑誌は大いにアメリカへの夢を駆り立てた。→次回へつづく
