レーザー・ディスクは今や過去の物である。僕も所有しているビデオやレーザー・ディスクのソフトをほとんどDVDソフトに買い替えた。しかしいまだにDVD化されていないカルトなものもある。是非、過去にカタログ化されたカルトなもの達をDVD化してもらいたい。このLet it Beのレーザー・ディスクは１９８１年にビデオと同時にリリースされた。パイオニアがプレスしているがリリースされたのはアメリカ２０世紀フォックスからである。だがこの商品は契約上のトラブルによってすぐに回収されてしまった。言わば幻のレーザー・ディスクだ。そして２５年を経た今日でもこの映像はお蔵入りとなっている。実際にLet it Beの映画が全世界で公開されたのは１９７０年のことだ。崩壊して行くビートルズを生々しくドキュメンタリーで追ったとても哀しい映画だ。しかし...→次回につづく
